Boolah Trial Farm Field Day
— Event Recap

Dirt to Data

Australia’s largest commercial-scale regenerative trial farm event.

Held Wednesday 10th September 2025 | Pallamallawa War Memorial Hall

The 2025 Boolah Trial Farm Field Day was a resounding success. Despite heavy rain preventing the on-farm tour, more than 400 growers, agronomists and industry leaders gathered in Pallamallawa for a full program of panels, keynote presentations, a trade show and networking.

The day reinforced how data, collaboration and innovation are helping farmers cut emissions while keeping profits strong.

Highlights

  • Panels and keynotes featuring Stuart Tighe (Boolah), Brooke Sauer (Boolah), Cameron Wilson (Asahi Beverages), Philip Robinson (Barrett Burston Malting), Craig Baillie (GRDC) and Richard Heath (Zero Net Emissions Ag CRC).

  • Launch of Boolah’s Regen4Real Program — a 72-metric ESG framework aligned to global standards.

  • Boolah’s bold emissions goal: 30% reduction by 2030, net zero by 2050.

  • Trade show and networking showcasing innovative agtech, products and services.

  • The day wrapped up with a beer brewed from Boolah-grown barley from 4 Pines brewery - more on our collaboration with 4 Pines here.

About the Trial Farm

Starting in 2021, the Dimboola Trial Farm now hosts 18 active trial participants across 434 hectares and acts as the test bed for different practices, technologies and input products that can help achieve our sustainability goals.

Whether it’s tracking carbon sequestration, trialling low-emissions cropping systems, or implementing agtech software, the trial farm model has been designed for testing, learning, and reporting — translating ambition into action.

Crucially, the value we create is shared as we showcase cutting-edge trials and real-world practices aimed at helping growers meet evolving sustainability, traceability, and low-emissions targets.

As our trials continue to grow, we’re expanding into new regions with the intention of building out trial farm network to cover each major grain growing region in Australia.

Regen4real Sustainability Framework is our scorecard that captures, measures and validates our impact, managing and reporting sustainability related risks and opportunities for commodities we connect to end users. It includes indicators and targets to drive sustainability performance across all core business activities.

Regen4real Dashboard is our interactive tool that showcases our progress as a network.

Collecting the right data is crucial to ensuring sustainability impact can correctly determined, and this years field day will focus on highlighting what data we collect for the Regen4real platform and how that translates to value for everyone across the supply-chain.

If you're looking to strengthen your supply chain involvement, improve environmental performance, or simply connect with others leading change in Australian agriculture — this is your opportunity.
